Job summary

Avaloq is seeking a detail-oriented L2 Application Support Engineer in Makati City, Philippines. You will provide technical support for wealth management and digital platforms, diagnose complex issues, and collaborate with development teams to implement permanent solutions.

Responsibilities include SQL data validation, log analysis, batch job monitoring, and on-call support. Hybrid work is available; strong communication and ITIL-aligned incident management are essential.

Qualifications

3–4+ years in L2 application or technical support in production.
Hands-on Oracle SQL, Unix/Linux commands, and Java-based apps.
Experience with batch job monitoring using Control-M/Autosys/Cron.
OCI and/or AWS cloud services knowledge.
Familiar with JIRA and incident management processes.

Responsibilities

Provide L2 technical support for wealth management and digital platform apps.
Diagnose and resolve complex issues, escalate when needed, and document outcomes.
Write and debug SQL queries and perform data validation checks.
Analyze logs via Unix/Linux and monitor system performance.
Manage and monitor batch jobs and file workflows (Control-M/Autosys/Cron).
Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to identify root causes.
Create knowledge base articles and runbooks; participate in on-call rotations.
Communicate technical topics clearly to end-users and L1 support staff.
Ensure applications meet change management procedures and SLAs.
Coordinate with vendors to resolve platform-related issues.
