Job summary

Avaloq Philippines Inc. invites an experienced L2 Application Support Engineer to join our Makati City team. You will provide technical support for wealth management and digital platforms, diagnosing complex issues and ensuring optimal platform performance for our financial clients.

You will handle escalated tickets, write Oracle SQL queries, perform Unix log analysis, and collaborate with development and DevOps teams to implement permanent solutions. Hybrid work arrangements available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-4 years of L2 application support or technical support in a production environment.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL (simple/complex queries, joins, analysis).
• Proficient in Unix/Linux commands and log investigation.
• Experience with Java-based applications (log interpretation, JVM basics, error handling).
• Batch job monitoring via Control-M/Autosys/Cron.
• Hands-on OCI and/or AWS experience for compute/storage/monitoring.
• Experience supporting wealth management platforms and Java (Full Stack) in enterprise systems.
• Proficient with JIRA or similar incident management tools.
• Understanding of ITIL processes, SLAs, and incident severity classifications.
• Ability to collaborate with Dev, Infra, and L3 teams to resolve issues.
• Experience with on-call rotation and after-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 technical support for wealth management and digital platforms, handling escalated tickets from L1.
• Write and debug Oracle SQL queries to investigate data issues.
• Perform Unix command-line operations for log analysis and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues using systematic methods.
• Monitor batches and file-processing workflows (Control-M, Autosys, Cron).
• Maintain incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system and contribute to knowledge base.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify root causes and implement fixes.
• Provide guidance to end-users and L1 staff on technical concepts.
• Maintain documentation of architecture, workflows, and integrations.
• Participate in change management, system testing, and RCA reporting.
• Join on-call rotation to support critical incidents.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve platform-related issues promptly.
