Job summary

AVENSYS CONSULTING INC. in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Accountant – General Ledger to join our Finance Team and help ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.

You will own general ledger activities, support month-end close, perform reconciliations and analysis, and collaborate with global stakeholders to strengthen internal controls. The role demands meticulous attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting.
• 4 years of combined experience in General Accounting, General Ledger, Financial Reporting and/or Audit.
• Experience supporting month-end close, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to investigate discrepancies.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Oracle, SAP or similar.
• Attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional and global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries and ensure proper support and compliance.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of General Ledger accounts and records.
• Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Analyze account movements and variances to identify root causes and resolutions.
• Support internal and external audit activities and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional teams to improve processes and reporting.
