Job summary

Sumsys Solution Phils., Inc. is seeking a GL Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team to maintain accurate general ledger records and support month-end close.

You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, assist with financial statements, and help during audits, while ensuring compliance with BIR and tax requirements. The ideal candidate is a CPA with a Bachelor's in Accountancy, strong organization, and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy is required.
• CPA certification is required or in progress.
• Strong understanding of GL accounting and month-end closing procedures.
• Experience in reconciliation, journal entries, financial reporting, and audit support.
• Knowledge of Philippine taxation and BIR compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor the General Ledger and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and properly classified.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications.
• Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure timely completion of assigned schedules.
• Assist in the preparation of BIR tax compliance requirements, including VAT, withholding taxes, SAWT, eAFS, and other related schedules.
• Provide necessary schedules and supporting documents for external and internal audits.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.

About the role
