Job summary

EatClub is seeking a Global Finance Controller to lead and develop a team of four, oversee day-to-day finance operations, and manage month-end close and IFRS reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions. You will strengthen controls and drive scalable processes with practical accounting excellence.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of Big 4 experience in Audit and Assurance.
• Degree in Accounting or related discipline; CA/CPA preferred.
• Experience across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Experience with cloud-based accounting software (Xero).
• Experience in accounting, finance operations, or shared services.
• Experience with AUS, NZ & UK indirect tax.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 4, fostering a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the procure-to-pay function, ensuring the accurate and timely processing, coding, and reconciliation of financial transactions.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial results.
• Support the team in preparing and managing monthly accruals, ensuring expenses are recognised completely and in the correct period.
• Review and manage monthly payroll across multiple entities and countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local requirements.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger through oversight of journals, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews.
• Review and approve weekly payment runs, ensuring appropriate controls and segregation of duties
• Manage tax compliance obligations, including GST/VAT, FBT, PAYG/PAYE withholding.
• Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and group reporting under IFRS across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Support external audits and regulatory compliance activities, ensuring adherence to statutory and corporate reporting requirements.
• Support the Global Financial Controller with ad-hoc projects and analysis as assigned.
