Global Finance Director (CPA / Shared Services)

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Global CEO, the Global Finance Director will have end-to-end accountability for all financial accounting, controllership, tax compliance, and systems implementation across global operating entities (AU, US, UK, DE, PH, CA).
This role serves as a key strategic partner to executive leadership, leading financial operations while maintaining collaborative oversight and alignment with regional HR functions (payroll and labor compliance).
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Controllership & Reporting
- Lead global accounting, month-end/year-end closing, statutory audits, and financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and AASB standards (specifically AASB 15/16).
- Ensure accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations and present financial health reports to the CEO and executive leadership.
- Develop, review, and maintain comprehensive global accounting policies (e.g., revenue recognition, transfer pricing).
2. Tax Compliance & Treasury Management
- Oversee corporate income tax, indirect tax returns (VAT/GST), and tax compliance across international jurisdictions (AU, US, UK, DE, PH, CA).
- Manage transfer pricing computations, intercompany transactions, eliminations, and global financial consolidations.
- Oversee cash flow, working capital requirements, and banking partner relationships.
3. ERP Systems & Process Optimization
- Lead system enhancements and implementation of ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite / Odoo).
- Streamline core processes: Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Record-to-Report (R2R).
4. Strategic HR Collaboration & Operations (Plus Factor)
- Provide strategic oversight and leadership alignment for the HR and payroll function across operating regions.
- Partner with HR leads to monitor labor law compliance, compensation, payroll execution, and regional headcount budgeting.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education & Credentials: Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or Economics. Active CPA qualification is mandatory.
- Audit Experience: Big-4 Accounting Firm experience is strictly required.
- Work Experience: 15+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role within a shared services or multi-national setup.
- Technical Mastery: Deep proficiency in AASB 15 / IFRS 15 (Revenue Recognition), AASB 16, multi-country tax compliance, and transfer pricing.
- Systems Expertise: Hands-on experience with mid-market/enterprise ERP systems (NetSuite, Odoo, Oracle).
- HR / General Ops Exposure: Solid working knowledge of regional payroll, tax compliance, and HR collaboration is a strong advantage.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience communicating with C-Suite executives, managing cross-border teams, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
