Job summary

TE Connectivity is establishing a global Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program to manage rising compliance obligations for Packaging, WEEE, and Batteries. The EPR Lead will direct global strategy and partnerships to ensure seamless market access and sustainability goals across a matrixed, global enterprise.

The role requires defining governance, monitoring regulatory shifts, and collaborating with Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Legal to embed EPR into core business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Finance, Sustainability, Regulatory Affairs, or similar.
• Experience with EPR schemes, product compliance, or product stewardship in a global multi-country context.
• Hands-on experience with Packaging, WEEE, and/or Batteries EPR obligations including registrations and reporting.
• Proven ability to manage third-party service providers and compliance partners.
• Strong governance, data management, and process design understanding.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong leadership capability with proven ability to drive results in a matrixed, global organization.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the global EPR governance model, prioritizing Packaging while managing WEEE and Battery obligations.
• Monitor global EPR shifts, maintain a central obligations register, and provide actionable guidance to business units.
• Oversee relationships with external service providers and Producer Responsibility Organizations (PROs) to ensure timely registrations and reporting.
• Standardize data requirements and partner with IT to automate reporting workflows, ensure audit readiness, and implement compliance dashboards.
• Forecast EPR fees, manage budgets, and identify cost-optimization opportunities.
• Drive accountability across Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Legal to embed EPR requirements into core business decisions.
