Job summary

Alpaca is seeking a collaborative Due Diligence Analyst to join our Risk team. You will support onboarding of international fintechs and financial institutions, ensuring due diligence, risk, compliance, and AML standards are met before launch.

The role requires organized, analytical thinkers who can manage multiple onboarding workstreams in a fast-paced environment and communicate clearly with external partners and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in risk management, operational risk, third-party risk, compliance, AML, or related functions within financial services/fintech.
• Comfort working with international partners and reviewing materials across different jurisdictions.
• Strong critical thinking to identify anomalies, gaps, or risk indicators in documentation and responses.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple onboarding processes.
• Clear written and verbal communication for external partners and internal teams.
• Ability to collaborate across Risk, Compliance, AML, Operations, Legal, Product, and PM teams.
• Self-starter mindset with accountability and sound judgment in a fast-evolving environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Risk Management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support due diligence reviews for new and existing partners including fintechs and financial institutions.
• Communicate requirements, timelines, and documentation needs with partners globally.
• Conduct third-party risk management processes (KYC, KYB, enhanced due diligence, policy reviews).
• Review partner documentation for completeness and risk indicators.
• Track onboarding progress and ensure documents are submitted before launches.
• Respond to partner questions and escalate issues as needed.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure compliance of partner integrations.
• Identify gaps and contribute to process improvements in onboarding and diligence.
• Maintain accurate records of reviews, decisions, and supporting docs.
