Job summary

Aurecon Group in Manila is seeking an Engineer in the Bridges & Civil Structures team. You will contribute to analysis, design and detailing of bridges and civil structures across multiple project stages and collaborate with Manila and NSW/ACT teams.

You will build practical engineering solutions with safety, constructability and durability in mind, while developing your technical capability through coaching and increasing responsibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in the design or assessment of bridges and civil structures such as retaining walls, culverts or foundations.
• Ability to interpret and communicate 2D and 3D structural geometry with clear sketches and mark-ups.
• Competence in structural analysis and design, with the ability to prepare transparent calculations, design records and technical reports.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including confidence to ask questions and explain assumptions.
• A collaborative, dependable approach and genuine interest in learning and sharing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Undertake structural analysis and design tasks under appropriate guidance and review.
• Prepare and maintain design calculations, records, sketches, reports and schedules.
• Coordinate with engineers, modelers and other disciplines to ensure clear communication and documentation.
• Check your own work and respond constructively to reviews to close out comments.
• Identify missing inputs or technical risks and discuss with the lead early.
• Contribute to project meetings, design reviews and team discussions.
