Job summary

Aurecon in Manila is seeking a Bridge & Civil Structures Engineer to contribute to analysis, design and detailing of bridges and civil structures for Australian projects, while learning from experienced teams in Manila and NSW/ACT.

You will collaborate with engineers and modelling specialists, develop practical engineering solutions with safety and life-cycle perspectives, and progressively take on more responsibility as your capability grows.

Qualifications

• Recognized bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Experience in the design or assessment of bridges and/or civil structures such as retaining walls, culverts and foundations.
• Ability to interpret and communicate 2D and 3D structural geometry with sketches and mark-ups.
• Competence in structural analysis and design with transparent calculations and reports.
• Clear written and verbal communication and ability to raise issues early.
• A collaborative, dependable approach and genuine interest in learning and sharing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Undertake structural analysis and design tasks under appropriate guidance and review.
• Prepare and maintain design calculations, records, sketches, reports and schedules.
• Coordinate with engineers, modelers and other disciplines for clear designs and documentation.
• Check own work, respond to reviews and close out comments in a timely, traceable manner.
• Identify missing inputs, risks or uncertainties and discuss with the task/design lead early.
• Contribute to project meetings and design reviews, including presenting work when appropriate.
• Apply Aurecon's processes to ensure safe, practical, sustainable outcomes.
• Take increasing ownership of defined design tasks and small work packages as capability grows.
• Support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across Manila and NSW/ACT teams.
