Job description

The General Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and government regulations. The role covers bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, taxation, and other accounting-related functions to support effective financial management.

• Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions in the general ledger.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including monitoring collections and payments.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and government-mandated contributions (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
• Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, and account analyses.
• Monitor expenses and assist in budget preparation and cost control.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other related tasks as may be assigned by the Finance Head/Accounting Manager.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Management Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2–3 years of solid experience in general accounting or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with accounting systems/software (QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar).
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of meeting deadlines.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
