Job summary

SGS Philippines seeks a skilled technician to maintain and repair laboratory and inspection equipment for the NR-Minerals group. You will perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot issues while coordinating with external contractors as needed.

Fluent English is required, with 1–2 years’ experience in Geochem equipment, electrical wiring, troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance, backed by a TESDA NC III in industrial electricity.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate: Vocational/trade course in industrial electrician (TESDA NC III).
• 1–2 years’ experience in Geochem equipment troubleshooting (ovens, furnaces, fume hoods, mass balances).
• 1–2 years’ experience in electrical wiring and troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance.

Responsibilities

• In-charge of the maintenance and/or repairs of all laboratory and inspection instruments and equipment for the NR-Minerals Group.
• Provides first level technical assistance to all laboratory and inspection facilities and coordinates with third-party contractors for support services.
• Installs electrical devices and conducts repair and troubleshooting of instruments.
• Performs preventive maintenance on all laboratory equipment and facilities based on annual calendar activities.
• Monitors downtime during failures or breakdowns and reports incidents affecting QHSEE objectives.
• Follows SGS QHSEE policies and participates in safety trainings and emergency readiness.
