Role Overview

Our client is an cutting-edge, US-based artificial intelligence and robotics startup focused on building physical autonomy systems. They develop high-precision data engines and operating systems that allow next-generation robots to execute fine-motor, complex real-world tasks—such as hardware assembly, cabling, and intricate threading with human-level accuracy

We are looking for a General Manager for Operations to lead their data collection efforts in the Philippines. You will be the bridge between the US engineering team and the local execution force. You will design operations processes & quality assurance, manage an "army" of contractors, oversee technical procurement, and maintain a 24/7 operational rhythm to ensure our data pipeline never stops.

Key Responsibilities

The role has these responsibilities, but isnot limited to the following:

• Partnerships Management: Identify and reach out to a widerange of businesses (including factories) and independent manualand skilled workers across the Philippines and surrounding areas.
• Data Operations: Ensure our collected data is securely receivedand uploaded to our servers.
• Logistics & Procurement: Manage the local supply chain fortools, hardware components, and facility needs. If the dataoperations needs a specific part or a site needs a specific setup, you make it happen.
• Quality Assurance (QA): Own the integrity of the data. You willimplement rigorous QA protocols to ensure the data being fed intoour models is world-class and error‑free.
• Team Leadership: Rally, manage, and mentor a growing team oflogistics contractors and interns. You are responsible for theiroutput, morale, and discipline.
• Operational Excellence: Maintain a 24/7 operational calendar.You will coordinate shifts, manage leave, and ensure thePhilippines operations are productive around the clock.
• Process Optimization: Constantly iterate on our data collectionworkflows to increase efficiency and throughput without sacrificing quality.

What You Need

• Proven experience in operations management, project management, or a leadership role in a fast-paced environment (e.g., manufacturing, logistics, or tech ops).
• Exceptional English and Filipino communication skills (written and verbal).
• Experience managing large, diverse teams of contractors or interns.
• A "hands-on" technical aptitude — you are comfortable working around robotics, hardware, and basic tools.
• Ability to manage complex schedules and resource allocation across multiple time zones.

Technical Requirements

• Fiber internet (PLDT Fiber, Converge, Globe Fiber, etc.) - recommended speed of 100/50 Mbps
• Backup internet (mobile hotspot or secondary ISP) capable of at least 20 Mbps
• Quiet, conducive home workspace
• OPTIONAL: Wired Ethernet connection preferred during work hours
• OPTIONAL: Power backup (UPS) if the location experiences frequent outages
