Job summary

Private Advertiser in the Philippines seeks a hands-on General Manager reporting to the US-based President. You will lead local operations, finance, HR, banking, administration and regulatory compliance for the Philippine entity, with a goal to grow the team from 15 to 30 employees.

You will oversee day-to-day activities, budgets, reporting, and compliance, while coordinating with US managers to ensure alignment and growth of the local operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience, including 3+ years in a management or senior supervisory position.
• Hands-on budgeting, cash-flow management and financial reporting experience.
• Demonstrated experience in HR administration and labor compliance in the Philippines.
• Experience working with banks, auditors, government agencies and professional advisers.

About the role

This is a hands‑on senior management position reporting directly to the company's President in the United States. The General Manager will lead local business operations, finance, human resources, banking, administration, and regulatory compliance for the Philippine operating company of an established U.S.-based manufacturer of custom architectural products. The role ensures that the overall Philippine business is properly managed, supported, compliant, and prepared for continued growth, with the Philippine team expected to grow from 15 to 30 employees.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day business and administrative operations of the Philippine company.
• Establish clear priorities, deadlines, internal procedures, and accountability across the organization.
• Coordinate with US managers to ensure the Philippine company is supporting their efforts.
• Provide concise weekly and monthly reports covering finances, staffing, compliance, and major operational issues.
• Prepare and manage budgets, cash-flow forecasts, financial reports, payroll funding, vendor payments, and expense approvals.
• Ensure timely bank reconciliations and complete supporting documentation for all company transactions.
• Manage corporate banking relationships, account administration, payment controls, and required in-person and online banking functions.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee records, timekeeping, payroll coordination, benefits, performance management, discipline, and separation.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, or a related field.
• At least seven years of progressive professional experience, including at least three years in a management or senior supervisory position.
• Hands-on experience with budgeting, cash-flow management, financial reporting, accounting oversight, or corporate finance.
• Demonstrated experience managing Philippine HR administration and labor compliance.
• Working knowledge of BIR, SEC, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, DOLE, and local business requirements.
• Experience working directly with banks, accountants, auditors, government agencies, and professional advisers.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Excellent organizational skills and careful attention to financial, corporate, and employee documentation.
• Ability to work independently with senior management located in the United States.
