Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA qualification strongly preferred.
• 5–10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Proven experience managing a full set of accounts.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems; SAP Business One exposure is an advantage.
• Advanced Excel and financial-analysis skills.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance leaders.

The Opportunity

This is more than a reporting role.

As Head of Finance & Administration, you will take ownership of the company’s complete finance function—from accounting and compliance to budgeting, cash flow, commercial analysis, and business planning.

You will work closely with the Managing Director and department heads, bringing financial discipline to day-to-day operations while providing the insights needed to improve profitability and support sustainable growth.

The role will also oversee key people administration and local corporate support responsibilities.

What You’ll Own

Financial Leadership and Reporting

• Lead the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Translate financial results into clear business insights for the Managing Director and leadership team.
• Prepare year-end financial statements and coordinate external audits.
• Maintain reliable financial records and ensure the integrity of reported information.

Financial Control and Cash Management

• Strengthen internal controls, approval processes, and financial governance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regional or group reporting standards.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital.
• Monitor inventory, receivables, payables, and other key balance-sheet items.

Accounting Operations

Oversee the complete accounting cycle, including:

• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• General ledger and month-end closing
• Fixed assets
• Inventory accounting
• Financial documentation and record keeping

Budgeting and Business Planning

• Lead the annual budgeting process.
• Prepare forecasts and track actual performance against plan.
• Identify financial risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
• Support leadership decisions with practical and commercially grounded analysis.

Commercial Business Partnering

• Partner with the Managing Director and department heads on business performance.
• Analyse pricing, margins, operating costs, and profitability across equipment, chemicals, and service operations.
• Help leaders understand the financial impact of their decisions.
• Recommend ways to improve efficiency and strengthen profitability.

Compliance and Tax

• Ensure compliance with Philippine accounting, tax, and statutory requirements.
• Manage corporate tax reporting and statutory filings.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisers, banks, and relevant government agencies.

People and Administration

• Oversee essential local HR and employee administration.
• Help ensure that payroll coordination, employee documentation, policies, and statutory requirements are properly managed.
• Support the Managing Director in maintaining a professional, compliant, and well-run workplace.

Systems and Process Improvement

• Maintain the reliability and integrity of the company’s financial systems.
• Simplify and improve finance processes, controls, and reporting.
• Support accounting-system upgrades and implementation projects when needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA qualification strongly preferred
• At least 5–10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Proven experience managing a full set of accounts
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax, statutory, and regulatory requirementsExperience in an SME, multinational subsidiary, or lean operating environment
• Background in equipment distribution, manufacturing, B2B trading, or service-led businesses is an advantage
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems; SAP Business One exposure is an advantage
• Advanced Excel and financial-analysis skills
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance leaders
