Home Invest Realty Ventures Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day resort and restaurant operations in the Philippines, ensuring all departments run efficiently and to established standards.
You will develop and implement procedures, monitor guest experience, manage budgets, and lead front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B teams to deliver consistent service and profitability.
Overall Operations
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the resort and restaurant and ensure that all departments operate efficiently and according to established standards, policies, and procedures.
Develop and implement operational plans, procedures, and service standards to improve productivity, efficiency, and guest experience.
Monitor daily operations and immediately address operational issues, guest concerns, staffing problems, maintenance concerns, and other matters affecting business operations.
Resort Operations
Oversee front office, reservations, housekeeping, maintenance, security, recreation, and other resort-related operations.
Ensure rooms, facilities, amenities, common areas, and other guest areas are properly maintained, clean, safe, and ready for use.
Monitor room occupancy, reservations, guest services, and overall resort performance.
Ensure that resort facilities and services are delivered according to established quality standards.
Restaurant and Food & Beverage Operations
Oversee restaurant, kitchen, bar, banquet, catering, and other food and beverage operations.
Ensure proper food quality, service standards, cleanliness, sanitation, inventory control, portion control, and cost management.
Monitor restaurant sales, customer feedback, menu performance, food costs, labor costs, and operational efficiency.
Coordinate with the Chef, F&B team, and restaurant supervisors to maintain consistent food and service quality.
Financial Management
Monitor the financial performance of the resort and restaurant.
Prepare, review, and monitor budgets, sales targets, operating expenses, payroll, purchasing, and other financial requirements.
Implement measures to control costs, minimize waste, improve profitability, and maximize the efficient use of company resources.
Review daily sales and operational reports and investigate significant variances or unusual expenses.
Ensure that cash handling, billing, collections, purchasing, and financial procedures are properly followed.
Sales and Marketing
Develop and implement strategies to increase room bookings, restaurant sales, events, functions, and overall resort revenue.
Monitor market trends, customer preferences, competitor activities, and business opportunities.
Assist in developing promotions, packages, events, partnerships, and marketing initiatives.
Maintain good relationships with corporate clients, suppliers, event organizers, travel partners, and other business contacts.
Guest Relations
Ensure excellent customer service throughout the resort and restaurant.
Handle escalated guest complaints, service concerns, special requests, and other customer-related issues professionally and promptly.
Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
Ensure that employees maintain professional and courteous interactions with guests.
Human Resources and Staff Management
Oversee staffing requirements, employee performance, attendance, discipline, training, and development in coordination with the HR department.
Ensure that departments are adequately staffed based on operational requirements.
Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Address employee concerns and workplace issues fairly and professionally.
Promote teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and positive employee relations.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable labor and workplace regulations.
Purchasing and Inventory
Oversee purchasing and inventory management for resort and restaurant operations.
Ensure that supplies, equipment, food products, beverages, linens, cleaning materials, and other operational requirements are properly monitored.
Review purchasing requests and ensure that purchases are necessary, properly authorized, cost-effective, and within approved budgets.
Monitor inventory levels and minimize shortages, overstocking, spoilage, damage, and unnecessary expenses.
Maintenance and Facility Management
Ensure that all resort buildings, rooms, restaurant areas, equipment, utilities, swimming pools, recreational facilities, and other property assets are properly maintained.
Coordinate with the Maintenance Department regarding preventive maintenance, repairs, and urgent facility concerns.
Ensure that safety hazards and facility problems are immediately addressed.
Safety, Security, and Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, permits, licenses, health and safety requirements, and company policies.
Oversee proper implementation of health, sanitation, fire safety, security, emergency preparedness, and workplace safety procedures.
Ensure that incidents, accidents, guest injuries, property damage, and other significant events are properly documented and reported to management.
Coordinate with appropriate authorities and service providers when necessary.
Quality Control
Establish and maintain operational standards for resort accommodations, restaurant services, food quality, cleanliness, guest relations, and overall customer experience.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities and departments to ensure compliance with company standards.
Identify operational weaknesses and implement corrective and preventive measures.
Reporting and Administration
Prepare and submit regular operational, financial, sales, staffing, inventory, and performance reports to the Owner, President, or Managing Director.
Analyze business performance and provide recommendations for improving operations and profitability.
Maintain accurate and organized operational records and ensure proper documentation of significant business activities.
Leadership and Management
Provide leadership and direction to department heads, supervisors, and employees.
Conduct regular management meetings to discuss operational performance, challenges, targets, and improvement plans.
Delegate responsibilities effectively and ensure that assigned duties are properly completed.
Lead by example and promote professionalism, accountability, teamwork, discipline, and customer-focused service.
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Tourism, or related field
At least 3–5 years of experience in hotel, resort, restaurant, or hospitality management
Previous managerial or supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of resort and restaurant operations
Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and financial management
Knowledge of customer service and hospitality standards
Strong leadership and decision-making skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Computer literate
Able to work under pressure and handle multiple responsibilities
