Job summary

Sunpride Foods, Inc. is seeking a General Ledger Specialist to maintain accurate financial records and support month-end and year-end close activities across cross-functional teams.

You will prepare journal entries, run reconciliations, review trial balances, and ensure compliance with accounting policies and standards. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and at least 3 years of accounting experience, including general ledger and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in General Accounting, General Ledger, or Financial Reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
• Review and validate trial balance balances and related schedules.
• Prepare recurring, adjusting, reclassification, and closing journal entries.
• Support timely month-end and year-end close activities.
• Monitor completeness of transactions and coordinate with Finance and Operations teams.
• Ensure adherence to accounting policies and provide audit support.
