Bytebridge Philippines, Inc. is seeking a skilled Senior GL Accountant to support the US Finance team from the Philippines, performing general ledger tasks and month-end close within a night shift aligned to US business hours.

You will collaborate with US Finance, AP, AR and cross-functional groups, handle reconciliations, journal entries, and prepare financial reports while ensuring accuracy and adherence to US GAAP. Night shift flexibility and strong English communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of GL / accounting experience.
• Hands-on with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
• Knowledge of US GAAP is a plus.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight closing deadlines.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Able to work across time zones and night shifts.

• Support intercompany transactions and reconciliations across entities.
• Assist with audit requests and provide documentation.

About the role

Support the US Finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, month-end close activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role works closely with the US team and operates on a night shift aligned with US business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Perform General Ledger (GL) accounting and maintain accurate accounting records
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing
• Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, fixed assets, and other GL accounts
• Review transactions and ensure proper account coding and supporting documentation
• Assist with preparation of financial reports and schedules
• Support intercompany transactions and reconciliations across entities
• Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation when required
• Work closely with US Finance, AP, AR, and other cross-functional teams

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• At least 3-5 years of relevant General Ledger / Accounting experience
• Strong hands-on experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing
• Good understanding of accounting principles; US GAAP exposure is an advantage
• Experience working with ERP/accounting systems
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• High attention to detail and ability to meet tight closing deadlines
• Good written and spoken English
• Comfortable working independently and collaborating with colleagues across different time zones
• Must be willing to work night shift aligned with US business hours
