Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a GL Accountant to maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate, timely recording of financial transactions in line with company policies and non-life insurance regulatory requirements. The role collaborates with multiple teams to support monthly close, reconciliations, and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy or related field.
• CPA qualification is an advantage.
• 3–5 years accounting experience, preferably in non-life insurance or financial services.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
• Knowledge of IC and BIR reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger with timely journal entries.
• Prepare periodic regulatory reports for the Insurance Commission.
• Reconcile GL accounts and ensure data mapping for regulatory submissions.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Ensure compliance with PFRS and non-life insurance standards.
• Collaborate with Claims, Underwriting, Reinsurance, and Actuarial teams.
