Job summary

Pioneer Insurance is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in line with regulatory requirements for non-life insurance. The role works across teams to support monthly closings and regulatory submissions, ensuring data accuracy and compliant reporting.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, 3–5 years of accounting experience in insurance or financial services, and familiarity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger with timely, accurate entries for premiums, claims, reinsurance and operating expenses.
• Prepare and assist regulatory reports required by the Insurance Commission (IC) and other disclosures.
• Perform reconciliations of key GL accounts and support month-end/year-end close activities.
• Ensure compliance with PFRS and insurance-specific regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Claims, Underwriting, Reinsurance, Actuarial and Tax teams to ensure accurate financial data flow.
