Job summary

Exypnox Inc. is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to own the GL functions, perform close processes, and support consolidations with a focus on accuracy and GAAP compliance.

You will work with our US Accounting Manager and Controller, in a hybrid setup based in Metro Manila, Philippines. The role includes night shift from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of General Ledger Accounting or R2R with month-end close ownership.
• Exposure to EMEA and/or US accounting principles is a plus.
• Familiarity with Netsuite or similar ERPs and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong English communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Own general ledger functions and month-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for close cycles.
• Support consolidations, intercompany transactions, and foreign currency accounting.
• Assist in financial reporting and GAAP compliance.
• Review supplier invoices and assist AP as needed.
• Support audit activities and provide required documentation.

Job description

As a General Ledger Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and own the general ledger functions, perform account reconciliations, and assist in the month-end close process, working directly with our US Accounting Manager. You will collaborate with various departments and work closely with the Controller to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Month-End, Quarter-End & Year-End Close

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations for all close cycles
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual flux analysis

Consolidations & International Accounting

• Prepare consolidations, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations.
• Handle foreign currency accounting and partner with the Accounting Manager to ensure international accounting is complete

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Ensure accuracy of all financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and maintain compliance with internal policies

Accounts Payable Support

• Review, verify, and process supplier invoices in support of the AP function

Audit Assistance

• Provide supporting documentation and assist with internal and external audits

Shift Schedule

11:00 PM - 8:00 AM (Night Shift)

Office Days

Hybrid. Strictly one (1) office day a week in BGC

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience

• 4+ years of General Ledger Accounting or Record to Report (R2R) experience with ownership of month-end close, journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting

• Exposure to EMEA and/or US accounting principles is a plus!

• Familiarity with Netsuite (or similar ERPs such as Quickbooks, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, etc.)

• Advanced Excel skills

• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively organize and present information and respond to questions

• Experience in analyzing large transactional volumes, preparing trend analysis, and resolving variance issues

• Independent thinker and problem solver with ability to present solutions

• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks appropriately, and handle multiple responsibilities at once

• employees must be based in Metro Manila and work from within Metro Manila due to operational requirements.
