Job summary

MicroSourcing seeks a General Ledger Accountant in Pasay City to lead close cycles and ensure IFRS compliance. The role handles journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany reviews within a multi-currency environment.

Applicants should have 4–7 years of general accounting experience, IFRS/GAAP knowledge, and ERP proficiency (Oracle/SAP/MS Dynamics). CPA is a plus; onsite, night shift, competitive rewards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 4–7 years of general accounting experience in multi-regional/multi-currency setup.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or GAAP as it relates to GL accounting and reporting.
• Experience with a large ERP environment (Oracle, SAP, MS Dynamics, or similar).
• Able to meet tight monthly close schedules and perform reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with IFRS compliance.
• Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries and accruals.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany reviews.
• Maintain internal controls and audit schedules; support accounting research.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, and Ops to drive automation and improvements.

Your Role

As a General Ledger Accountant, you will:

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure strict timelines and IFRS compliance are met.
• Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and perform comprehensive balance sheet and income statement flux analyses.
• Execute complex balance sheet reconciliations, reconcile intercompany transactions, and review work prepared by other accountants.
• Maintain internal controls, prepare robust audit schedules, and support technical accounting research.
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, and Operations to drive accounting automation and process improvements during the close.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4 to 7 years of general accounting experience, preferably in a multi-regional and multi-currency organization.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or GAAP as it relates to general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience working in a large ERP environment (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
• Proven ability to meet tight monthly accounting close schedules and execute complex balance sheet reconciliations.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent credential.
• Experience working within a Shared Services Center (SSC) environment handling global operations.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex functions).
• Fluency in the Spanish language (spoken and written).
• Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset focused on process automation, efficiency, and strengthening controls.
