Job summary

Venice 66 Fashions Inc. in Laguna invites a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. You will prepare monthly journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and assist in tax payments to BIR, including VAT and withholding taxes.

You’ll handle Alphalist data entry, VAT relief tasks, and monthly resubmission reports, while ensuring timely payments and accurate records in QuickBooks. Fresh graduates are welcome; a BS in Accountancy and familiarity with SAP Business One and MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy required.
• Experience in general accounting, accounts payable, and tax with bank reconciliation.

• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries and adjustments with supporting docs.

Job description

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries and adjustments, including supporting documentation and appropriate descriptions
• Ensure the balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled to supporting documentation
• Ensure on-time filing and submission of BIR Tax payments which includes withholding taxes, VAT and income taxes
• Performs timely recording and maintenance of BIR applications: Alphalist Data Entry and VAT relief
• Prepares and validates resubmission reports monthly
• Processing of requests for payment
• Prepares Check and secures releasing
• On-time filing and submission of statutory reports to avoid penalty, interest and surcharges
• Maintaining accurate records and analysis of QuickBooks accounts
• Liaising with both internal and external parties to ensure proper documentation of each financial accounts

Qualifications

• College Graduate; Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy

• General accounting and accounts payable functions with background in taxation and bank reconciliation
• Preferably with at least less than 1 year experience, We welcome fresh graduates!
• Knowledgeable in SAP Business One
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, etc)
• With knowledge in running/working with an accounting system software
• Strong analytical and evaluation skills
• Disciplined, self starter with the ability to work independently, managing time effectively
