Job summary

Globalport Terminals Inc. seeks a detail-oriented General Accountant to manage financial records, prepare reports, ensure accuracy, and support regulatory compliance in the Philippines.

Responsibilities include reconciling the General Ledger, preparing journal vouchers and adjusting entries, compiling monthly financial statements, handling BIR Books of Accounts registration, and aiding financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
• CPA is an advantage.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or general accounting functions.
• Knowledge of Philippine accounting standards, BIR regulations, and financial reporting is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile accounting records with the General Ledger.
• Prepare Journal Vouchers and adjusting entries.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and other accounting reports.
• Prepare and process the annual registration of Books of Accounts with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records and financial data.
• Assist in financial analysis, reporting, and other accounting-related functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
