Job summary

The General Accountant at Jobless oversees the procurement process and supports closing books, monthly reporting, and compliance submissions for the finance team. You'll prepare management reports, assist with VAT/EWT filings and maintain accurate accounts, working with the procurement supervisor and auditors as needed.

A CPA is preferred; a bachelor’s in Accountancy is required, with 2–3 years in end-to-end accounting.

The General Accountant oversees the procurement process of the company.

The General Accountant will assist on the closing of books, monthly and preparation of financial, non-financial (relevant to the finance department) and compliance reports.

The General Accountant assists the Finance Department on the provision of management reports.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist on the performance of analytical procedures on the financial and non-financial reports of the Finance Department.
• Assist the Team on the filing of disbursement vouchers to the auditors and attending on the audit findings.
• Assist the Team on the monitoring of different accounts in the financial statements
• Oversee the VAT and EWT Filing of the Sky Group and other compliance filings
• Supervise the PRs, Canvassing and PO preparation for the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the filing of the disbursement vouchers for the company
• Review and assist on the preparation of the liquidation reports.
• Monitoring and Reconciliation of Accounts Receivables and Payables.
• Handles the tax filing and other regulatory filings.
• Monitor the petty cash fund and attend to the reimbursement concerns.
• Collaborate with the Procurement Supervisor with regard to the purchasing of the company
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the superiors.

Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience)

• A bachelor’s degree in Accountancy (required) and a holder of CPA License (preferred)
• At least 2–3 years of progressive experience in end-to-end accounting process
• At least 1 year of experience in Auditing and filing of EWTs and VAT
• Experience on advanced MS Office e.g. Excel
• Solid understanding of Business Taxation, and recent updates on Taxation
• Skilled in using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online and Desktop
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Competent in data analysis and summarization
