Job summary

CITADINES is seeking a General Accountant to manage the general ledger, record daily financial transactions, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and assist in preparing monthly financial statements for the hotel. Responsibilities

• General Ledger & Journal Entries: Prepare and post daily or monthly journal entries, accruals, and prepayments into the accounting system.
• Account Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, bank statements, and clearing accounts to resolve discrepancies.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable Support: Coordinate with AP and AR clerks to verify invoice accuracy, track aging reports, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Audit Support: Gather financial documents, schedules, and reports required for internal and external audits.
• Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of local taxes, value-added tax (VAT), and other statutory requirements.
• Departmental Collaboration: Work with front desk, food and beverage, and housekeeping teams to audit daily revenue reports, POS logs, and labor costs.
