LE BRON CONSTRUCTION is seeking a detail-oriented General Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, record journal entries, and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
You will prepare financial statements, manage bank reconciliations, handle accounts payable and receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and tax compliance while supporting budgeting, internal controls, and audits across project sites.
Maintain accurate and complete accounting records.
Prepare and record journal entries for all financial transactions.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books.
Maintain the General Ledger and reconcile all subsidiary ledgers.
Review accounting transactions for accuracy and completeness.
Prepare monthly financial statements, including:
Statement of Financial Position (Balance Sheet)
Statement of Comprehensive Income
Cash Flow Statement
Statement of Changes in Equity
Prepare management reports and financial analyses.
Assist management in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
Monitor company cash flow.
Verify cash receipts and disbursements.
Ensure proper recording of all bank transactions.
Review supplier invoices and supporting documents.
Ensure proper approval before payment processing.
Monitor accounts payable aging.
Coordinate with Procurement and Project Departments regarding supplier balances.
Monitor customer billings and collections.
Reconcile customer accounts.
Prepare aging schedules.
Follow up outstanding receivables.
Review payroll summaries before posting.
Record payroll expenses and liabilities.
Reconcile payroll-related accounts.
Ensure proper accounting of employee benefits.
Maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
Record acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
Conduct periodic asset verification.
Monitor capital expenditures.
Prepare and review tax schedules.
Ensure timely filing and payment of:
BIR Withholding Taxes
VAT
Percentage Tax (if applicable)
Income Tax
Documentary Stamp Tax
Coordinate with external tax consultants and auditors.
Assist in compliance with:
BIR
SEC
LGU
SSS
PhilHealth
Pag-IBIG Fund
Maintain accounting records required by government agencies.
Prepare schedules required by internal and external auditors.
Respond to audit inquiries.
Assist in implementing audit recommendations.
Monitor departmental budgets.
Analyze budget variances.
Recommend cost-saving measures.
Assist management in financial planning.
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies.
Recommend improvements to accounting procedures.
Safeguard company assets through proper financial controls.
Monitor adherence to internal control policies.
Monitor project costs by project/site.
Prepare project cost reports.
Reconcile subcontractor billings.
Monitor retention payable and retention receivable.
Record project revenue and expenses.
Coordinate with Project Engineers and Quantity Surveyors regarding project cost monitoring.
Assist in process improvements.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Perform other accounting-related duties assigned by Management.
