Job summary

Shopee is seeking a Process Automation Engineer in Manila to scope and build POC automations using LLM and generative AI. You will partner with stakeholders to define MVPs, test plans, and success criteria, delivering rapid proofs that integrate across multiple web applications and data sources.

You will develop data workflows, scripts, and API-driven integrations, ensuring quality checks and clear handover documentation for potential productionization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
• Nice to have: Certification in Data Analytics, Machine Learning, or similar.
• 2+ years building prototypes/automations/workflows using scripting and data.
• Proven experience delivering scripts and data workflows from diverse data sources.
• Some experience with large language models (LLMs) or AI technologies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data workflow automation tools.
• Solid understanding or willingness to learn about LLMs and their analytics applications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Scope and prioritize automation use cases; define MVPs and feasibility studies.
• Translate ambiguous problems into clear POC requirements, success criteria, and test plans.
• Build rapid POCs leveraging LLM/generative AI to automate or augment business processes.
• Develop lightweight automation scripts/workflows integrating across multiple web apps and tools (APIs and scripted interactions).
• Develop, maintain, and optimize data workflows from diverse data sources.
• Use SQL and scripting to extract, transform, and validate data for POC execution.
• Perform quality checks to ensure results support validation decisions.
• Document POC approach, assumptions, limitations, and handover notes for downstream teams.
