Job summary

Citi is seeking a Data Science (GenAI & Prompt engineering) Analyst in Bangalore to contribute to the North America Consumer Bank data science team. You will develop generative AI models, prompt engineering, and RAG-based solutions, focusing on model training, validation, deployment and governance.

The role requires 1-3 years in AI/ML, hands-on PySpark/Python/SQL, and knowledge of Transformers/LLMs, LangChain and related tools.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on AI/ML or data science experience.
• Strong Python, PySpark, and SQL skills.
• Experience with deep learning / generative AI and transformers/LLMs.
• Familiarity with vector databases and data warehouses.
• Ability to translate business problems into modeling solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with large and complex datasets using Python, PySpark, SQL, Hive to build GenAI solutions for business requirements.
• Design, train, fine-tune, validate, deploy and govern models including LLMs/GenAI applications.
• Develop prompt engineering, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and related architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with Citi standards and governance.
