Job summary

Ameriprise India LLP is seeking a Lead Data Analyst for Reporting and Operations in the ABGD group, based in Gurgaon. The role focuses on turning data into actionable insights, building robust ML models, and deploying them to production with rigorous validation.

You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, perform extensive EDA, and leverage Python, SQL, and AWS SageMaker to drive business impact while exploring Generative AI options as a plus.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience in data science / applied ML.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving; able to challenge requirements.
• Deep data understanding and strong command of exploratory data analysis.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with AWS SageMaker for model building, training and deployment.
• Hands-on experience with Redshift, Snowflake and S3.
• Proven track record of taking models from concept to production.
• Ability to translate business problems into data science solutions and communicate results.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior stakeholders to frame problems as data science questions.
• Conduct extensive exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns and validate assumptions.
• Build, validate, and deploy ML models end-to-end from framing to monitoring.
• Continuously optimize models for accuracy, robustness and business impact.
• Write clean production‑ready Python and SQL code.
• Work with large-scale data using AWS SageMaker, Redshift/Snowflake and S3.
• Present findings and recommendations to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
