Job summary

MA Financial Group is seeking an experienced investment operations professional to support settlements, reporting, and controls within a hybrid work environment at BGC, Taguig. The role offers exposure to real-time fund operations across multiple asset classes.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in investment operations, strong data validation skills, and the ability to resolve reconciliation issues with counterparties.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in investment operations with a focus on settlements and controls.
• Experience validating operational data across the investment lifecycle.
• Ability to investigate and resolve settlement/reconciliation exceptions with counterparties.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills for a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of multi-asset funds; WS0 or fund accounting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate operational reports on settlements, cash positions, portfolios, and exceptions.
• Monitor operational metrics, identify control exceptions, and report on service provider performance.
• Support investor, regulatory, compliance, audit, and management reporting with accurate data.
• Ensure settlements, FX hedging, and collateral management are processed with strong controls.
• Collaborate with investment teams, fund accountants, custodians, and providers to resolve queries and improve reporting.
• Assist with data migration and system enhancement projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate, timely operational reports covering settlements, cash positions, portfolios, and exceptions.
• Monitor key operational metrics, identify control exceptions, and report service provider performance and outstanding actions.
• Support investor, regulatory, compliance, audit, and management reporting by providing accurate operational data and documentation.
• Ensure settlement activities, FX hedging, and collateral management are processed accurately while maintaining strong operational controls.
• Collaborate with investment teams, fund accountants, custodians, and service providers to resolve operational queries and improve reporting processes.
• Support operational improvement initiatives, including implementing new controls, documenting procedures, and contributing to data migration and system enhancement projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in investment operations, with a strong background in settlements and operational controls.
• Experience preparing and validating operational data, with a solid understanding of the investment lifecycle and middle office processes.
• Ability to investigate and resolve settlement and reconciliation exceptions by working closely with counterparties and custodians.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of multi-asset funds (fixed income and credit preferred); experience with WSO or fund accounting is advantageous.
• Demonstrated understanding of risk frameworks and a commitment to maintaining operational accuracy and compliance.
