Pavago is hiring a Software Engineer to design, build, and optimize APIs, backend services, and full-stack applications via a remote role. You will work with Product, Operations, and Engineering to deliver scalable software and AI-enabled enhancements while solving complex integration challenges.

The role emphasizes API development, system integrations, and frontend work with modern frameworks. Candidates should have 3+ years of experience, a solid grasp of REST, and strong communication skills

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Python/JavaScript/TypeScript or Java.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Frontend development experience with React/Angular or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with Node.js, Flask or equivalent backend tech.
• Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Troubleshoot API communication issues and optimize backend connectivity.
• Develop reliable integrations between internal systems and external platforms.
• Improve performance, scalability, and reliability of existing integrations.
• Maintain secure authentication and authorization for API services.
• Develop scalable backend services using Python/JavaScript/TypeScript/Java.
• Build and enhance responsive frontend interfaces using React or similar.
