Job summary

Pavago in the Philippines is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong full-stack experience to build, improve, and maintain reliable software products while collaborating with engineering and cross-functional teams.

You will work across frontend and backend, develop APIs, work with databases and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and maintain Docker-based apps and CI/CD pipelines, aiming for scalable, high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong React, JavaScript, and TypeScript experience.
• Backend development with Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and GraphQL.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Docker and CI/CD experience.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Availability during U.S. business hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable full-stack applications across frontend and backend.
• Build user-facing features using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and GraphQL using modern backend technologies.
• Work with databases and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Build and maintain Docker-based applications and CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while participating in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and identify effective solutions.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical decisions, and process improvements.
• Mentor junior developers and support technical knowledge sharing when needed.
