About the role

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer who enjoys solving difficult problems, developing capabilities across modern user interfaces, backend services, AI-enabled workflows, enterprise integrations and cloud native platforms. You will work with ASCENT and Global Capabilities Center team members throughout the development lifecycle. This role contributes to technical design and implementation, reviews GCC-developed work, validates software deliverables, and supports controlled integration and promotion into multi-tiered trust environments.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on full stack engineering ability with a collaborative and adaptable mindset. You should be comfortable working in an evolving R&D environment, evaluating new technologies, developing across frontend and backend systems, and helping move solutions from concept through testing, secure integration, and deployment. You take ownership of software quality, communicate effectively across distributed teams, and use modern development and AI-assisted tools to deliver secure, maintainable, and mission-ready capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, maintainable software across frontend, backend, API, integration, and data layers.

• Build accessible, responsive applications using React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, HTML, and CSS, with automated testing using Vitest and Testing Library.

• Develop Python services using FastAPI, Pydantic, and asynchronous programming, including LangGraph workflows, MCP tools, prompt orchestration, tool calling, approval gates, and audit logging.

• Build reusable integrations for Microsoft Graph and Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Jira, GitLab, and other enterprise services. Develop capabilities for processing Excel, Word, PDF, Microsoft Project, XML, and SQL-based data.

• Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Azure services such as Container Apps, Container Registry, Key Vault, Azure OpenAI, Azure Monitor, and related platform capabilities.

• Create and maintain unit, integration, behavior-driven, end-to-end, API, and user-interface tests. Troubleshoot issues across development, test, demonstration, and integration environments.

• Review GCC-developed code and delivery packages, reproduce required checks in approved environments, resolve integration issues, and promote authorized work through established higher-trust branches and environments.

• Use Devin Desktop and other approved AI-assisted development tools for implementation, testing, debugging, documentation, and code review while independently validating the accuracy, security, and quality of generated outputs.

• Participate in solution design, technical reviews, backlog refinement, demonstrations, and engineering discussions. Clearly communicate requirements, decisions, risks, dependencies, and feedback to U.S.-based and GCC team members.

• Follow established cybersecurity, software supply-chain, data-handling, export-control, configuration-management, and release-management requirements.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Minimum of 5 years of professional full stack software development experience.

• Demonstrated experience developing production-grade frontend, backend, API, integration, and cloud-based applications.

• Strong production experience with Python, FastAPI, Pydantic, asynchronous programming, REST/JSON APIs, and automated testing.

• Proficiency with React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, HTML, and CSS, including responsive design and accessibility practices.

• Experience with Docker, Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, branching strategies, and controlled software releases.

• Experience developing secure API integrations with appropriate authentication, authorization, retry, error handling, and rate-limiting controls.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure services, preferably Azure Container Apps, Container Registry, Key Vault, Azure OpenAI, and Azure Monitor.

• Strong full stack software engineering and technical problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
