Job summary

Sun Life in the Philippines is seeking a Risk Specialist to support the Head of Risk Management in implementing effective risk programs and processes. You will be part of the second line of defense, helping identify, measure, monitor, and report risk across financial risk areas including FRM and MEUC.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, strong analytical ability, and experience in financial risk management.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Economics, or equivalent.
At least 3 years of relevant work experience on Financial Risk Management.
Strong grasp of trust/banking business, technical issues or trust/banking trends.
FRM, or CFA is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare, analyze and ensure completeness of the daily risk management reports, including limits utilization.
Prepare, analyze and ensure completeness and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly and annual / semi-annual risk metrics & indicators, risk management reports and other reports.
Review, analyze and provide recommendations on financial risk limits to policies and operating guidelines ensuring BSP compliance.
Collaborate to ensure annual review, roll-out, renewal and implementation of operating guidelines and compliance.
Identify limit breaches and monitor action plans to address non-compliance; assist in risk initiatives across theBU.
