Job summary

OwnBank in the Philippines seeks a Head of Risk Management to lead the bank's risk framework, ensuring regulatory compliance and a strong risk culture. You will oversee ERM, credit risk, and capital planning, advise the Board, and drive risk governance across functions.

The role requires 8–10+ years in risk management within banking, excellent leadership, and proven ability to work with regulators and senior management on key risk issues.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10+ years of experience in risk management within banking or financial services.
• Ability to articulate risk clearly to the board and senior management.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and risk assessment methodologies.
• Experience implementing risk management systems and tools.
• Proven leadership and ability to interact with regulators and auditors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee risk management function and support the board in risk appetite development.
• Develop and implement the bank’s ERM framework and risk appetite statement.
• Identify, assess, and monitor credit, operational, market, liquidity, and reputational risks.
• Lead risk policies, procedures, and governance structures; provide strategic risk advice.
• Establish a strong risk culture and oversee KRIs, stress testing, and capital planning.
• Collaborate with internal audit, compliance, and legal; report risk insights to leadership.
• Lead Credit Risk activities including portfolio monitoring and risk reduction actions.
