Job summary

Sun Life Financial is seeking an Actuarial Manager for Par Management and Risk Modelling in the Philippines. Lead dividend studies, Par reporting, FCT, and risk sensitivity analyses while managing a team of actuarial professionals. Drive process improvements and collaborate with Finance, Risk, ALM, Pricing, and regional offices to support strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• University degree with strong mathematical or statistical background.
• Associate or near-associate of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines (ASP).
• 7+ years actuarial experience, preferably in life insurance.
• Strong knowledge of actuarial modelling and valuation concepts.
• Experience with actuarial modelling software, preferably AXIS.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Analytical thinking with strong decision-making.
• Ability to manage priorities and deliver under tight timelines.
• Accountability, ownership and continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain technical concepts.
• Collaborative team player with stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Dividend study: lead annual study for traditional Par products and present findings.
• Par reporting: deliver quarterly valuation reports and OSFI documentation.
• Financial Condition Testing (FCT): lead annual process and communicate insights.
• Risk sensitivity analysis: direct model development and quarterly results.
• Ad-hoc projects: support business planning, automate processes, and drive improvements.
