- Conduct reviews involving account takeover, identity theft, payment fraud, card fraud, loan fraud, wire fraud, P2P payments, ACH and check kiting, Zelle alerts, and other transactional fraud scenarios.
- Use fraud monitoring and case management tools such as Actimise, FICO Falcon, SAS, or NICE where available.
- Approve, decline, close, reimburse, or elevate cases in line with policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
- Apply appropriate mitigation actions, including blocking accounts or cards and recommending preventive measures.
- Contact customers through approved channels to verify transactions and provide fraud prevention guidance when required.
- Maintain accurate case records, investigation notes, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Perform retroactive analysis, fraud control assessments, trend analysis, and root cause analysis to strengthen fraud prevention and support real-time decisions.
- Coordinate end-to-end alert reviews with internal and external stakeholders, including relevant compliance and risk teams.
- Support SAR filing and adherence to applicable AML, KYC, PCI-DSS, AUSTRAC, and other regional or global regulatory requirements as needed.
- Prepare dashboards and reports covering fraud trends, loss analysis, investigation outcomes, and risk themes.
- For senior-level roles, handle complex and high-value cases, act as a subject matter expert, conduct quality checks and audits, mentor junior investigators, and contribute to training and knowledge sharing.
