Job summary

Ashok Leyland Limited is seeking an experienced engineer for NPD & PATTERNSHOP to drive foundry design and development activities. The role involves 3D modeling of castings, reverse engineering, and achieving castings lead times at or above global benchmarks.

The ideal candidate holds UG/PG in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy with aTool Design diploma and has 5–10 years in design and simulation software, including MAGMA Soft or C3P Soft. Knowledge in PPAP/IATF is a plus.

Qualifications

• UG/PG in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy with PG Diploma in Tool Design preferred.
• 5–10 years experience in design and simulation software knowledge preferred.
• NPD & Design candidate to participate in Foundry Design & Development activities.
• Meet castings development lead times to benchmark with global standards.
• Familiar with at least one 3D modeling software (Solid Works, Creo, etc.).
• Able to perform 3D modeling of castings, reverse engineering, 2D extraction, ballooning drawings.

Responsibilities

• Participate in foundry design and development activities and new castings development.
• Meet lead times for castings development at or above global benchmarks.
• Prepare PPAP, IATF & TQBM records and maintain them.
• Execute foundry shop floor sampling activites and validate sample castings.
