Job summary

GTH TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Laguna team. The role requires 3-5 years in mechanical design for machines, automation, and semiconductor equipment, with strong SolidWorks skills for 3D modeling, assemblies, and 2D drawings.

The candidate should understand GD&T, tolerances, material selection, and have exposure to machining and sheet metal processes. Ability to prepare BOMs and coordinate with customers and suppliers is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in machine design, automation, semiconductor equipment, jigs, and fixtures.
• Proficient in SolidWorks, including 3D modeling, assembly, and 2D detailed drawings.
• Knowledgeable in mechanical design principles, tolerances, fits, GD&T, and material selection.
• Familiar with machining, sheet metal, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
• Able to prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings.
• Capable of developing machine concepts based on customer requirements and specifications.
• Able to perform design modifications and improvements on existing machines and equipment.
• Knowledge of pneumatic components, sensors, actuators, motors, and other machine components is an advantage.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing equipment is an advantage.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to coordinate with customers, suppliers, fabrication teams, and field/service engineers.
• Can work independently and manage multiple design projects within required timelines.
