Division: Solar & Battery Solutions
Industry: Solar Energy / Battery Storage / Electrical / Renewable Energy
Employment: Full-Time
Reports To: Group Management / Board
About Our Group
We are part of a diversified investment group based in the Philippines with established interests in advertising, real estate, and services, while continuing to pursue new businesses aligned with the Group's long-term objectives and strategic opportunities.
Our approach is focused on growth, sustainability, strategic investment, and building businesses with strong long-term potential. For this new division, the Group will provide the necessary capital, strategic support, and resources required to establish and grow the business.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Founding General Manager to build, launch, and lead our new Solar & Battery Solutions business.
This is not a conventional General Manager role where an established team, operating structure, and customer base are handed over.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building the business from the ground up — including business setup, permits and regulatory requirements, supplier and technical partnerships, recruitment, operating systems, customer acquisition, commercial launch, and expansion.
The company will provide the necessary capital and strategic support. We are looking for an entrepreneurial industry operator who brings the technical understanding, commercial capability, industry relationships, and leadership required to turn those resources into a successful and scalable renewable-energy business.
Key Responsibilities
Business Formation & Launch
Develop the initial business plan, operating model, pricing strategy, and go-to-market plan.
Lead company/division setup, registrations, licenses, permits, accreditations, insurance, and other regulatory requirements.
Identify required solar and battery technologies, equipment, vehicles, facilities, inventory, manpower, and initial capital requirements.
Establish relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, electrical contractors, engineers, financing partners, and other relevant industry partners.
Develop operating procedures, technical standards, safety requirements, quality controls, customer-service standards, reporting systems, and internal controls.
Commercial Development
Build the initial customer pipeline and secure the division’s first projects and recurring accounts.
Leverage existing industry relationships and professional networks to accelerate market entry.
Develop residential, commercial, institutional, developer, property-management, industrial, and corporate accounts.
Lead client presentations, proposals, quotations, project costing, negotiations, and contract closing.
Develop solar, battery-storage, hybrid/off-grid, energy-management, maintenance, and related service packages.
Establish strategic partnerships, referral networks, and financing opportunities where applicable.
Build a professional sales and business-development organization as the company grows.
Identify opportunities for geographic expansion and additional energy products or services.
Operations
Recruit and manage the initial technical and operating team.
Establish training, certification, safety, quality-control, and performance standards.
Oversee project development, site assessment, system design coordination, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and after-sales support.
Ensure projects are completed professionally, safely, efficiently, on schedule, and profitably.
Develop systems for scheduling, procurement, inventory, customer service, collections, warranties, maintenance, and service calls.
Monitor project margins, operating expenses, productivity, customer satisfaction, and technical quality.
Financial & Strategic Management
Prepare annual budgets, business plans, forecasts, and growth strategies.
Take responsibility for the division’s revenue, profitability, cash flow, and growth.
Establish KPIs and provide regular performance reports to Group Management.
Recommend capital expenditures and expansion investments based on expected returns.
Continuously improve project pricing, margins, productivity, sales conversion, and customer acquisition.
Build the division into a scalable and independently functioning business.
Who We Are Looking For
This position is intended for an experienced Solar / Renewable Energy industry operator, not someone looking to learn the industry for the first time.
Applicants without relevant experience in solar energy, battery storage, electrical systems, renewable energy, or a closely related industry will not be considered.
The ideal candidate should have:
Significant prior experience in solar energy, battery storage, electrical systems, renewable energy, or related industries.
Previous experience as a General Manager, Business Unit Head, Operations Head, Commercial Head, Country Manager, Founder, Senior Manager, or similar leadership role.
Experience launching, expanding, or substantially growing a business or business unit.
Strong understanding of how solar and battery businesses actually operate.
Knowledge of relevant permits, licenses, regulatory requirements, certifications, electrical standards, safety requirements, and industry practices.
Experience with residential and commercial solar installations, rooftop solar, battery energy storage systems, hybrid/off-grid systems, inverters, energy management systems, electrical contracting, or renewable-energy project development.
Existing relationships with potential customers, developers, property managers, commercial accounts, industrial clients, suppliers, distributors, contractors, engineers, financing partners, or strategic partners are highly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to generate sales, develop new accounts, and close solar or renewable‑energy projects.
Experience recruiting and managing technical, operational, and commercial teams.
Strong commercial and financial judgment.
Ability to work independently and make practical operating decisions.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the discipline of a professional manager.

Launch commercial operations.

Demonstrate attractive project economics and a clear path toward profitability.
Build a management and operational structure capable of supporting continued expansion.
Long-term success will be measured by revenue growth, profitability, customer retention, project quality, market reputation, and the ability to scale the business.

We offer a competitive executive package for the right candidate, which may include:
Competitive executive-level base salary
Salary adjustment based on performance and business milestones
