Qualifications

• Experience with safety-critical development processes and DO-178B/C/DO-254.
• Strong knowledge of flight dynamics, kinematics and control theory.
• Hands-on design, testing and tuning of flight control systems.
• Familiar with linear and nonlinear systems.
• Experience with flight sensors and actuators.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of physics, mechanical mechanisms, electric powertrain and circuits.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in a relevant field with 1+ year in flight dynamics/mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Develop mathematical models for aircraft flight dynamics across platforms.
• Design and optimize flight control laws including autopilot control and stability augmentation.
• Analyze stability, controllability, and aerodynamic performance under various conditions.
• Create high-fidelity simulations for aircraft systems.
• Collaborate with aerodynamics, structures, and systems engineering.
• Work on simulation models and evaluate handling qualities.
• Participate in flight testing and tuning of models.
• Simulate mission scenarios to validate performance and feasibility.
• Develop and work on software-in-the-loop (SIL) test facilities.
