Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in fleet management or a similar role.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, compliance and safety standards.
• Familiarity with fleet management software and telematics systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily fleet operations and maintenance for roadworthy vehicles.
• Develop maintenance schedules and coordinate providers to minimise downtime.
• Monitor fuel, vehicle performance and costs to identify savings.
• Manage driver recruitment, training and performance evaluation.
• Ensure regulatory requirements including registration, insurance and safety checks.
• Maintain fleet records and documentation (logs, reports, driver files).
• Optimise route planning to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions where needed.
• Coordinate with procurement to source parts, fuel and services at competitive rates.
• Prepare regular fleet performance reports for senior management.
• Implement safety protocols and conduct safety audits.
