Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Firmware Manager to lead firmware architecture for communication modules, energy solutions, and industrial technologies with global customers. You will provide technical leadership and program direction across new product development and lifecycle support.

You will drive innovation, quality, and business outcomes by guiding architecture, reviews, testing, and collaboration with teams and partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Minimum 3 years' demonstrated experience in a technical leadership role within firmware or embedded systems development.
Strong knowledge of embedded firmware design and microcontroller platforms (ARM-based or equivalent).

Responsibilities

Lead firmware development projects using structured project management and collaborative delivery.
Define and guide architecture design, reviews, qualification planning, and platform development.
Develop assembly and test specs for products while upholding quality and reliability standards.
Ensure regulatory and industry standards compliance with design and certification teams.
Collaborate with tech partners to support product development and innovation.
Provide regular updates to leadership on progress, risks, and opportunities.
Coach and develop team members through feedback and resource planning.
Collaborate with customers and internal teams to address product quality concerns.
Drive process improvements for better execution, efficiency, and outcomes.
Contribute as SME by researching and applying advanced concepts to address challenges.
