Job summary

dusitD2 Davao is seeking a Fire, Life & Safety Manager to oversee the FL&S program for the hotel and ensure safety of guests and staff. You will manage inspections, drills, and emergency planning across three shifts, and coordinate with authorities.

The role requires 5+ years in fire safety, strong leadership, and excellent English communication. OHS and safety certifications are preferred, with a focus on regulatory compliance and staff training.

Qualifications

• Has at least 5 years of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to develop and coordinate comprehensive fire & life safety programs.
• Oral and written fluency in English, local language, and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and uphold Fire, Life & Safety (FL&S) in the hotel.
• Plan and implement FL&S inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM).
• Lead Emergency Response Team (ERT) and safety committees.
• Ensure compliance with local/national codes and government permits.

Provides Fire, Life & Safety Organization, Security Department and Fire Authorities to ensure and maintain the safety and security of the guests and employees.

Responsible in managing and upholding the Fire, Life & Safety (FL&S) in the Hotel.

Responsible for overseeing and managing Hotel FL&S function as follows;

Fire Prevention Plan

Fire Hazards Elimination

F&LS Systems inspection, testing and maintenance

Fire Emergency Plan

Audit and monitoring of the Emergency Response Team (ERT)

Ensures that the Hotel FL&S systems comply with local and national fire safety codes and regulations and that corresponding Government permits and certificates are secured.

Ensures that Hotel FL&S performance complies with the required Corporate Policies, Standards and Procedures.

Plans and implements FL&S systems inspection, testing and maintenance (ITM).

Establishes Fire Prevention and Emergency Response & Evacuation procedures.

Ensures that Fire Life & Safety training and drills are regularly and effectively implemented (Random Fire Drills/covering 3-shifts, Fire Simulation Drills and General Evacuation).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Has at least 5 years of related experience and / or training or equivalent.

• Ability to develop, implement and coordinate comprehensive fire & life safety accident prevention programs.

• Ability to lead and direct teams (ERT) and safety committees (Loss & Crisis Committee).

• Smart appearance, pleasant disposition and articulate.

• Oral and written fluency in English, local language and computer literate.

• Must have at least one of the following qualification;

• Registered, licensed or certified by state or local authority to perform fire safety engineering or certified by nationally recognized certification organization.
