Job summary

Tap Growth ai in Pasig City, Philippines seeks a Fire Engineering Modeller (FDS) to join our specialized team. You will develop advanced CFD models to simulate fire growth and smoke movement for complex buildings and infrastructure.

Collaborating with architects and MEP engineers, you will contribute to FEB/FER reports, provide clear visuals for stakeholders, and manage modelling workflows to meet project deadlines and budgets, while applying fire safety codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years dedicated CFD modelling experience in fire engineering.
• Experience with FDS (Fire Dynamics Simulator) and PyroSim.
• Evacuation modelling experience with Pathfinder and/or buildingEXODUS.
• Strong grasp of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and combustion principles.
• Knowledge of building codes and fire safety standards.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced 3D CFD models to simulate fire growth and smoke movement.
• Apply simulations to complex buildings and large infrastructure (including underground stations).
• Perform ASET/RSET assessments and tenability analyses.
• Assist in optimizing smoke control, exhaust, and natural ventilation designs.
• Provide input into detailed CFD modelling methodology and results reports.
• Contribute to Fire Engineering Briefs (FEB) and Fire Engineering Reports (FER).
• Translate complex data into clear visual outputs for non-technical stakeholders.
• Support the development of performance-based fire safety engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and structural teams.
• Prepare documentation and visuals to support project leaders in liaising with fire authorities and peer reviewers.
• Manage modelling workflows to meet strict project deadlines and budgets.
