Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a General Manager for the Philippines to spearhead growth, partnerships, and operations in Taguig. The role requires leading the local market strategy, engaging with regulators, and driving strategic initiatives across fintech and digital financial services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial mindset, 8–15 years in relevant sectors, and excellent stakeholder management, with English fluency and Mandarin preferred for multi-regional alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Law, or related field; Master’s Degree is a plus.
• Verifiable Regulatory Network across Sec, BSP, CIC, and law enforcement divisions (NBI Cybercrime / PNP-ACYB).
• 8–15 years of progressive experience in fintech, financial services, banking, digital payments, technology, or related industries.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional proficiency in English; Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred for regional/global coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business strategies to drive growth in the Philippines.
• Lead business development, market expansion, and commercial initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with government authorities, regulators, financial institutions, partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Represent the company in events, meetings, and strategic partnerships.
• Monitor developments in Philippine fintech and digital financial services.
• Identify new partnerships and market expansion opportunities.
• Collaborate with regional and global management to execute strategic objectives.
• Oversee local operations and ensure organizational performance.
• Support regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance activities.
