Job summary

BillEase seeks a Deputy Chief Technology Officer to lead architecture and platform efforts in a fintech environment. You will drive design decisions for scalable, secure systems, bridge engineering with business needs, and own reliability and regulatory compliance across cloud and on‑premise components.

You will mentor senior engineers, oversee Kubernetes and data platforms, and shape end‑to‑end transaction flows with a focus on security and performance in a fast‑paced fintech setting.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, and operating fintech systems with regulatory awareness.
• Strong architectural leadership and hands-on delivery in microservices and event-driven patterns.
• Deep security mindset with encryption, key management, and secure networking.
• Proven track record in cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP) and modern deployment practices.
• Hands-on coding in Python and Golang; fluent in Linux and containerization.

Responsibilities

• Design, evolve, and govern scalable, secure architectures for fintech platforms.
• Lead architecture reviews, due diligence, and major design decisions.
• Own architecture documentation (C4, ADRs) and maintain platform observability.
• Direct production Kubernetes environments and cost-governed cloud deployments.
• Ensure platform reliability, security, and regulatory compliance in all stacks.
• Oversee data, messaging, and backend services with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Kafka/RabbitMQ.
• Collaborate with mobile teams on API design, security, and performance across systems.
• Mentor engineers, drive execution, and support hiring for senior roles.
