Job summary

BillEase is seeking a versatile engineer who can own the full development cycle—from gathering requirements to production delivery—employing AI-assisted tooling to accelerate and improve output without compromising security or quality.

You will work directly with stakeholders and the CTO to shape technical solutions, design APIs, and implement backend, frontend, and mobile features using modern stacks and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with a range of AI tools in real development work.
• Experience with AI coding agents / assistants used to deliver production work.
• Experience with LLM APIs — prompt design, structured outputs, tool/function calling, and agentic workflows.
• AI-assisted testing, code review, documentation, and requirements/spec generation.
• Full-cycle software engineering: from requirement to production.
• Backend proficiency in Python or Golang, with PostgreSQL and SQL skills.
• Frontend capability with Vue/Nuxt or React.
• Ability to write clear specifications and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of microservices, REST/API design, event-driven patterns, Git-based workflows, and CI/CD.
• Security- and quality-conscious mindset; owning testing and operability.
• Self-directed, high-ownership, and able to deliver under real deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Engage stakeholders to elicit, clarify, and document business requirements.
• Turn ambiguous problems into clear, testable requirements using AI to accelerate research and gaps.
• Produce technical solutions and specifications: data models, API contracts (OpenAPI), service boundaries, diagrams.
• Make architecture decisions aligned with microservices, event-driven, and security-first principles.
• Implement backend services in Python and/or Golang on PostgreSQL with messaging (Kafka) and caching.
• Build web frontends (Vue/Nuxt or React) and mobile features (Android/iOS).
• Write reusable, testable code and use AI coding agents to move fast while keeping code quality.
• Design meaningful test coverage: unit, integration, API, end-to-end with AI-assisted testing.
• Own quality end-to-end: develop and test, ensuring verifiable delivery.
• Deliver through CI/CD and infrastructure as code; build observability into the design.
