Job summary

HCM Nexus is looking for a Chief Product and Technology Officer to lead product and technology strategy for our core banking platforms. You will drive innovation while ensuring reliability, security, and scalability across critical systems.

This role oversees product management, engineering, QA, architecture, and IT operations, collaborating with executives and cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable financial technology solutions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience in product and technology leadership.
• Experience leading Product Management and Engineering/Technology in financial institutions.
• Strong understanding of core banking systems, API platforms, SDLC, systems architecture, cloud/hybrid infrastructure, and production operations.
• Experience delivering regulated financial products such as loans, deposits, payments, onboarding, or digital/white-label banking solutions.
• Proven track record managing executive-level roadmaps, delivery governance, incident management, and transformation programs.
• Security, risk, audit, and regulatory compliance knowledge in fintech environments.
• Ability to use product analytics, operational metrics, and financial data to prioritize investments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and commercial acumen.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment while balancing strategic priorities with execution.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the integrated Product and Technology vision and roadmap, aligned with business objectives.
• Lead the end-to-end technology development lifecycle from discovery through release and post-launch optimization.
• Drive innovation initiatives involving AI, new products, APIs, payment platforms, and digital financial solutions.
• Oversee reliability, scalability, security, and performance of core banking and supporting platforms.
• Strengthen production monitoring, incident response, root-cause analysis, and service recovery processes.
• Lead and develop high-performing Product, Engineering, QA, Architecture, and IT Operations teams.
• Establish delivery governance, including roadmap reviews, sprint execution, release management, and reviews.
• Collaborate with commercial and implementation teams to improve partner integration and time-to-launch.
• Build relationships with industry and regulatory stakeholders and monitor fintech trends.
• Partner with executive leadership to define product priorities, technology investments, and long-term platform strategy.
